Glasurit Ratio Training and Auditing program is regarded worldwide as the best in the industry and there’s a Glasurit Training Course to meet the needs and skill levels of all paintshop staff – from trainees, trade assistants to an experienced painter.
Glasurit Refinish Competence Centre (RCC)
Training programs are conducted at our Head Office located at Wetherill Park NSW, by nationally accredited trainers who will educate the Bodyshop paint staff on all competencies relating to vehicle refinishing.
Modular Training Program
The modular training program offers a broad range of seminars matched to your staff’s individual training and knowledge levels. An on-site Skills Assessment program can be conducted by a Glasurit Field Technician to identify your staff members’ individual needs and their current levels of competency.
Our training program focuses on 3 key aspects:
1) We guarantee maximum attention to the trainee and their individual practical requirements.
2) We focus on workflow process and optimisation. The focus will cover colour matching and identification, sanding, body filling and priming through to paint application and polishing.
3) We put particular emphasis on process training and the effective management of time and materials. The subject of Process and Colour are offered at both introductory and advanced levels and are continually updated in terms of their relevance to practical requirements in our industry
The tailor made program is designed by first evaluating a painter technician’s competence level, which can be assessed via an on-site Skills Assessment program (developed by Glasurit) and conducted by a Glasurit field technician.The on-site assessment helps to identify areas of improvement and gives the Glasurit National Head Trainer a clear understanding of your painter technician’s individual needs. The delegate is then booked on a seminar that suits, ensuring maximum benefit is realised.
The RCC training is backed up by continual on-site assessment, further fine tuning the newly learnt skills of the painter technician.
Glasurit Training Programs
RATIO-AQUA
RATIO-Aqua is a 3 day training course designed to give delegates a full understanding of the 90 LINE waterborne basecoat systems and technology. Delegates will be educated on all aspects of the car refinishing process including the working steps of application to ensure that the system is VOC compliant. More »
PROCESS EDUCATION 1 (Introduction)
This 3 day introductory training course offers Bodyshop personnel a broad knowledge of Glasurit products and their proper use in the Bodyshop. This is suitable for employees with a limited amount of experience in painting or in using Glasurit materials. More »
PROCESS EDUCATION 2 (Advanced)
This 3 day advanced training course is designed to give delegates a deeper insight into the painting process within a Bodyshop with a particular focus on performance maximisation. The seminar consists of hands-on training on Glasurit® paint systems and offers delegates a full understanding of the functionality of the products and the processing steps required to apply a Clear Over Base System in an efficient manner focusing on time and material savings. COLOUR EDUCATION 1
This 2 day training course introduces the basic aspects of colour and colour matching, including an introduction to the use of the Glasurit RATIO-COLOR Profi System. More »
COLOUR EDUCATION 2
This 3 day training course offers delegates a deeper understanding of Glasurit RATIO-COLOR and Colour Physics. It includes complex information about physiology and pigment influences and offers insights into the process security of colour retrieval. Detailed methods into economical management of colour preparation and formula alteration as well as the ability to understand and solve complex colour differences under various conditions are covered. RATIO-SPOT REPAIR
RATIO-Spot Repair is a 2 day seminar, designed for the experienced painter. The seminar concentrates on small damage repair identification and utilises the most efficient repair process and products for maximum throughput and profitability. More »

RATIO-O.E.M seminar will educate the delegate in all requirements to maintain the O.E.M vehicle paint warranty and high quality appearance during the refinishing process. More »
Availability of Training Programs
All seminars are scheduled in a calendar format for quick and easy identification of seminar availability. A maximum of 6 training delegates per seminar ensures the individual needs of each delegate are addressed in a one-on-one type scenario.
Please note that the RATIO-Spot Repair and RATIO-O.E.M. courses will be held on request depending on delegate numbers and availability.
Training Assessment
All Seminars consist of a theoretical content which is then put into practice with hands-on training.
The National Head Trainer constantly monitors the progress of each training delegate measuring all KPI’s such as material consumption, application times and flash off times, and benchmarks the results against industry best practice to ensure efficiencies are at their optimum. Knowledge retention is also assessed by way of theoretical questionnaire. The Bodyshop will then receive a report outlining the results. The relevant Glasurit Technical Sale Representative will also receive a copy of the report for follow up training within the Bodyshop.
Training Manuals
All training delegates receive a manual covering all competencies that have been addressed during the training in an easy to follow layout for referral at a later date.
Seminar Certification
Once a training delegate has successfully completed a training seminar he or she will receive a certificate with a unique certification number and dates of seminar completion.
