BASF expands Victorian Automotive Refinish Technology distribution to a bigger, new facility
* NEW Automotive Refinish Technology Distribution Centre set to cater for BASF’s growth
* New specially designed facilities include spray and tint room
Melbourne, Australia – 08 November 2017.

Committed to the continuous improvement of its customer service and delivery demands, BASF has relocated its Victorian Automotive Refinish Technology Distribution Centre to a bigger, specially designed facility in Dandenong South.

Over the last seven years, BASF Australia has doubled its automotive coatings customer base and experienced a 60 percent growth in sales locally. The new warehouse helps to cater for this growth and features almost double the racking space to enable more stock to be held on hand.

The new facility features a customised warehouse, tint room and spray room for colour matching and testing, along with a two-story office. Strategically located in Victoria’s first integrated eco-industrial business park, the site also offers excellent access to Melbourne’s major arterials for improved logistics.

“Relocating the distribution centre to a bigger space enables us to continue to expand our distribution services, provide the highest level of service and cater for new growth across Australia,” said Tony Wiggins, Head of Coatings BASF Australia and New Zealand.
“This investment reinforces our commitment to our customers by strengthening our capabilities to support them to grow their business’”.

The site will distribute brands including Glasurit, Norbin and baslac along with dry goods to bodyshops.

BASF Automotive Refinish Technology Victoria will use a boardroom and meeting areas at the new location to host customer events and meetings.
